Keynote Speaker

Martin Bardy is one of the leading crowd management experts in the Central European area. He graduated as the first Austrian in the study of “Crowd Safety Management” at the internationally renowned Buckinghamshire New University (UK) and graduated with the highest award “First Class honours”. His passions are (besides his family and kitesurfing) the fields of risk management, emergency and crisis management as well as crowd management.

Martin Bardy teaches at universities, Universities of Applied Sciences and private institutions. Furthermore he gives lectures and keynotes, currently on the subjects:

  • Mass panic: fiction or reality?
  • Crowd Management: a (not really) modern possibility for safer events
  • Don’t panic – how to prepare for safe evacuations
  • Risk and emergency management for events

Curriculum Vitae

Between 2003 and 2014 Martin Bardy was project manager and managing director of various event agencies. Since 2010 he has been dealing extensively with event security which lead to the establishment of siflux in 2015. Since 2015 he is also member of the academic staff and instructor at the “Danube-University Krems”.

In addition to his professional activities, he attended universities where he completed following studies:

  • Crowd Safety Management (BA),
  • Sports and Event Management (MBA),
  • Business Psychology (MA) and
  • Bachelor of Education (BEd).
